Fitzhenry: The Enduring Image of Dan Becker
Jim Fitzhenry has an interesting "fill in the blank" exercise going on over at his blog. Check it out here. Perhaps after checking that out you might want to come back to this post and fill in this blank: Jim Fitzhenry is ________________________. (:-)
I teach Communication Studies (First Amendment, Classical Rhetoric, Civic Engagement, Rhetoric of Rock Music) at UW Oshkosh. Served two terms on Oshkosh City Council. Originally from Brooklyn, NY.

...a bigger gnat than Babblemur?
. . . yet not nearly as gnatty as Gary?
...a guy who, like many of us who are nowhere near as blog-literate as others, probably doesn't know what the word "gnat" refers to.
The name gnat is applied to small insects in the order Diptera and specifically within the suborder Nematocera. This suborder represents the more primitive members of the Dipteran order but still contains several very notable and important families such as the Chironomidae (non-biting midges) and the Culicidae (mosquitoes). Other families include the Tipulidae (crane flies), Bibionidae (hairflies), Ceratopogonidae (biting midges), Cecidomyidae (gall midges), Simuliidae (black flies), and others. The males often assemble together in large mating swarms. Gnat larvae are mostly free-living, many feeding on plants though some are carnivorous. Larval plant feeders, e.g., the Hessian fly larvae, cause root, stem, and leaf galls to be formed by the host plant. Some species of fungus gnats (families Mycetophilidae and Sciaridae) are very common pests of mushrooms and roots of potted plants in homes and greenhouses.
............... It's Science
Thanks Dude. When I get tired of T2T as name for this blog, "Gnat Larvae" is in definite contention as a new moniker.
I kind-of like "the Crack Gnats" or how about "the Attack of the Killer Gnat Gnewsblog" (we're more fun than Gannett Gnats).
I'm gnat sure about those. Perhaps we could start a retro 80s blog and call it "Gnats Landing."
Jim Fitzhenry is an egomaniacal meglomaniac with a little itty bitty...gnat
