Forum: June 14, 6 p.m., Coughlin Center
As noted in today's Northwestern, a public forum on the touch screen voting machine issue will be held on June 14 at 6 p.m. at the Coughlin Center. Looks like representatives of Diebold were invited to attend, but not other other voting machine manufacturers.
I teach Communication Studies (First Amendment, Classical Rhetoric, Civic Engagement, Rhetoric of Rock Music) at UW Oshkosh. Served two terms on Oshkosh City Council. Originally from Brooklyn, NY.

See?
Fast and dirty.
There does not seem to be any mention of any voting machine opponents having been invited as presenters.
The WEB folks aren't in the business of protesting business - how will they be able to address anything but regulatory issues - even if the individual(s) representing the WEB privately HATE the Deibold machine? They will keep quiet.
When CF citiens contacted the WEB, it just gave procedural advice and stayed far away from the political fray. So, I think it's accurate to call them neutral. So you have "pro", "neutraL" BUT NO "anti" at your forum?!
Still F & D.
Concerned persons may be interested to know that THIS is how I rest. I find it most relaxing...
