Hot Story
According to the World Health Organization, the sun kills 60,000 per year. (Possible wingnut response: "See, why are we worried about 2,500 dead soldiers in Iraq? The sun kills more people every year.").
So does this mean that we will waging a war against the sun next, with Halliburton given no-bid contracts to rebuild the sun after we destroy it?
That headline is misleading since it is cancer that is the cause of death, not the sun, and people can develop these conditions by too much exposure to ultraviolet light, whether it is natural or artificial.
