Hintz/Leschke in Journal-Sentinel

54th District Assembly candidates Gordon Hintz and Julie Pung-Leschke are both quoted in a Journal Sentinel article on "Candidates Don Campaign Faces." Nice people, but makes you long for a Green Party candidate in the race.

If you want to run then just do it. You can be sure that Dildo guy isn't going to win. Not with a name like that, so there's one man down already.

He enters the room and she is overtaken by an overwhelming desire to edit him, and edit him hard, right there in front of everyone. Nice to meet you too, s.b.

1.) There is value in stating the obvious, especially when everyone is thinking the same thing but no one says it. Politely ignoring socially difficult things [Mick Jagger called stuff like that "a turd in the punch bowl"] for the sake of social convention is not only false but is based in a desire to navigate the existing hierarchy for personal profit, a character trait that I personally would hide, not broadcast. Commonality is the word in play then, not originality.

2.)No. He's been hinting around for months that he'd like to run. You're his friend and you couldn't see that? He says this stuff to see if the crowd roars or not, you know, you run an idea past your freinds? They get all excited and say "go on girlfreind" and you do it, they look like they smell something bad, you don't and you change the subject real fast. That wasn't original either, just obvious.

Like it's my first comment and you have to get all territorial about a joke? You didn't think "dildo" ? Seriously admit it you did.

It was that parrot woman who said it and also that ABV guy mentions it. But the parrot said it first and she said that they campaigned that way some other time, not that they were going to this time for sure. So there might not be that spiritual meeting and laying on of hands some people might be hoping for.
