Lennon Zapped Four Weeks Before Primary

With the February 21 Branch Four Circuit Court Judge Primary less than 4 weeks away, candidate Bill Lennon got zapped today by Judge Bruce Schmidt. The Northwestern reports that Lennon, the current Winnebago County District Attorney, had filed a six-count misconduct complaint against Neenah police officer Dan Dringoli. Judge Bruce Schmidt dismissed the complaint, calling it "extremely confusing and extremely convoluted." He also said it contained "omissions and misrepresentations."

Talk about rotten timing. A judge candidate who also happens to be a DA is told by a respected judge--four weeks before a primary--that he made omissions and misrepresentations and filed a confusing and convoluted compaint. No doubt Lennon's primary opponents, court commissioner Karen Seifert and attorney Len Kachinsky, have already added Schmidt to their Christmas Card list.

Dude. Get ahold of yourself.
Three posts in one day? I have hardly posted on my blog for about 3 weeks.
If you keep raising the bar I'm not ever going to be able to realize my goal of becoming a cheap and tawdry female version of Tony Palmeri.
MUST we be so prolific?

I don't think it's prolific as much as sitting here at home at the computer getting ready for the start of Monday classes, getting bored, and seeking distraction in blogville. :-)

Let's see now. First Lennon won't file suit or pursue action against the Oshkosh Common Council for failing to gets bids on a public project. Then he refuses to file charges against a UW-O cop but publicly states the shooting was not justified (if anyone can figure that one out, I'm listening). Just last month he got smacked with a reprimand by the Crime Victims Rights Board (which he's appealing but I bet will remain at the end of the day), and now he has a criminal complaint thrown out in its entirety after working with the Neenah PD for a year or more on this case. The paper quotes him as saying he's going back to the drawing board and they're going to approach the Dringoli case more slowly. What the hell has he been doing all this time? My feeling is most of this is bogus and won't stand up when refiled. As for Lennon, if his ability as Dist. Att. is any indication of what we could expect on the bench, we better look at the other candidates. But hey, maybe he's hoping to get another job because he is so ill-suited for the one he has.

So are we all in agreement that Karen Seifert is the best choice in that judge's race.

Can we encourage someone to run against the DA and coroner in the fall?

LETS BUILD SUPPORT NOW.

Tony for Governor in "06"

Mike,

What is known about Karen other than that she is not Lennon or Kachinsky? I met her at the Martin Luther King dinner and found her very personable, but we didn't have time to talk about much.

What are some good reasons to vote for Seifert? --Tony

For one thing she has worked her way through the court system here in Winnebago County.

Serving first as Assistant Corporation Counsel which area was child support for Winnebago County.

A few years ago she then was picked the current judges to be a Court Commissioner for Winneabgo County.

I believe she is the best qualified be she presents her self very well and I believe has firm command of the law and how to conduct herself in courthouse.
She wants to be a judge to make difference not just a judge who is running because it was boyhood dream to be judge or who will be an activists on the bench to change the proceedings of the court.

She is head and shoulders over the others running for the position.

She is willing to meet anyone to talk about the position. Not just for a quick handshake but meaningfully conversation.

Karen Seifert is the best canidate for jugde. She is fair, she looks at all sides of an issue and decides what is the best for the most important innocent people, children who are in need of protection.
My son was permanently injured by an ex-girlfriend. I begged DA Lennon to review all the problems we had been facing regarding this person and the abuse (two separate dosmetic violence issues against our son). I asked DA Lennon to please charge this women with a felony assault to protect my grandson from ever having to live or be in a dangerous situation with this women. DA Lennon and his assistant C Freeman both disregarded any information I gave them, including a letter threatening my son's life. Lucky for us the custody of my grandson was decided by K Seifert. She gave top consideration to the welfare of my grandson, and thanks to her, he is safely with us and only allowed supervised contact with his bio-mother, which ironically this women has not even attempted to see our baby grandson for over six months.
Please elect Kare Seifert to judge, she looks at the full resources of the law, uses creative ideas in her decisions and is FAIR!!!! She cares about the victim!!!!!! She cares about the people and CHILDREN of this county.

William Lennon never does help the innocent , he is just into charging someone , anyone with a crime to make a name for himself. He had a case going where he charged two babysitters (right before christmas I might add) with homicide and never investigated the parents. Even though the parents admitted the child was showing symptoms of shaken baby over the weekend. Instead he charges whomever the child was passed off to until the music stops.I feel for those two people whom I believe never did anything to that baby. It could have been anyone out there who babysat that child that day. Put yourself in their shoes and feel what they are probably feeling inside.I believe he was hurt long before he went into their care. That child was sick the three hours he was at that sitters house and acting very out of sorts, but at the inquest I heard that the mother of the baby told the sitter not to call her unless an emergency. Shaken baby is flu like symptoms,(if a child is sick the mother shouldnt have brought him) what would you have done? You tell me thats not suspicious? Also another detail I found out is Lennon allowed the lead investigator whom is friends with the parents to stay on this case, because he said that shouldnt be an issue. Now we know why the parents were never investigated for their childs death. Would your friend want you in jail? All I keep hearing is that these two parents wanted this child so bad so they wouldnt of hurt him, ya the mom has no experience with children and is not concerned enough to bring her baby in over the weekend when he was in complete pain, you tell me she wasnt try to hide anything? I dont buy it for a minute. If you would have seen the look on the sitters faces when Lennon was asking them if they did this, you would have felt the same way I do. This needs to get out. I sat through the 3 day inquest and it was one of the hardest things. One of the sitters after testifying was crying and sick. The jury had to pick one of them and could not even pick the Weigelts. That is horrible. Besides the sitters said that their daughter was forced to make a statement to the investigators about what happened about the fall and her story was almost the same as what they have been saying. Is that not an eye witness? A child at 3 is not going to lie without saying someone told her to. I am just trying to get a grasp on what happened to that baby and I have read hundreds of articles on Ronald Uscinski and John Plunkett and they have stated that if that child would have been shaken that hard in that short of time, his neck would have been broke or spinal injury and no such thing could have occured. Also they have talked about lucid intervals, thats exactly what those sitters said, that he was in and out of it at times. I have to believe these two wonderful doctors because they have done wonderful work and they also said there is no medical or scientifical way in pin pointing the time of this childs injuries. the sitters never said the fall from the couch did that, they were just saying thats what happened at their home, but the paper blows it out of porportion. Also the fall off the couch could have caused whatever was done to him before he came to progress alot faster, causing him to go in distress within limited time. Please go out and read some of their work and start feeling what these sitters are going through, I just cant imagine it. I am just so pissed off in todays society you are guilty till proven innocent, these two sitters during the inquest have never had a problem with the law, have no enemies or anyone saying anything bad about them, all the other children they have ever watched those parents had nothing but good to say, they were in a child abuse prevention program for petes sake. They had people there saying such great things about them. Another thing the sitters stated was that the mother of the boy got angry on friday before this happened because the sitter said that she would not be able to continue babysitting for him if because she felt he was not liking it there due to the children playing loud and ect. because she thought they should bring him to a sitter whom he can have all their attention because it wasnt fair for the little one to have to cry, when careing for other children in the home.In the inquest it was said that Mrs. Weigelt was angry because the sitter said she could watch him one more week and until she could find someone. i am sickened by this story and I feel for these people, I hope Lennon comes to his senses before he hurts them anymore. He needs to get out there and look at the BIG picture not what is right in front of his nose due to the bad investigation from the lead investigator whom is friends with the Weigelts. Please go through some of the articles and let me know what you think. Also does anyone know away of contacting the sitters? Thanks for listening to my thoughts. My prayers go out to the sitters if you are looking at this at all.
