British folk singer Billy Bragg has just released The Lonesome Death of Rachel Corrie, a musical tribute to Rachel Corrie, a young American woman who had joined the Palestinian International Solidarity Movement and was killed while trying to obstruct the bulldozing of a home in the Gaza Strip.Bragg's song borrows its tune from Bob Dylan's The Lonesome Death of Hattie Caroll.
After her death, Rachel's parents started the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.
